TONY SERICOLO - Class of 2023

 

Tony was raised in Watervliet and played youth hockey for the Troy Youth Hockey Association. Later he played at Lasalle Academy and went on to play at American International College. During his senior year Tony was captain and began to understand the role of the on-ice officials.

 

After college Tony returned to the Capital District and began his on-ice officiating career. He began working youth hockey games for USA Hockey games in the area. Tony participated in the USA Hockey camps at the District and National levels. His abilities were quickly recognized, and he moved quickly through ranks to officiate at the professional levels.

 

Sericolo worked approximately 250 games in the American Hockey League before moving up to the National Hockey League. In the National Hockey League Tony worked 1500 regular season games and 34 playoff games as well as one All-Star game. Additionally, he worked two outdoor games, a Stadium Series game at Yankee Stadium and the Winter Classic at Citi Field. Internationally Tony worked the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino Italy.
